Our background

My name is Ian Brown, I am the owner and an instructor here at BLS. I began learning guitar when I was 12 years old and it's been my passion ever since. I started learning more and more instruments like the ukulele and mandolin as I got more and more skilled on the guitar. I began teaching guitar, ukulele, and mandolin in 2017, and quickly realized I wanted to turn my love of music into a career in education. I fell in love with teaching as soon as I started! A few years ago, I became a level I certified voice instructor at the Institute for Vocal Advancement!

The mission of BLS is to provide high quality and cost-effective music lessons for all ages.
